hey im a 19year old girl and want to work possibly in an irish bar,not to bothered though..as im going alone where would people recommend going in portugal?ive been to praia da rocha and albufeira before both seem safe enough...

Durty Nellies,Croke Park and the scots bar in praia da rocha offer accomodation for their employees......

try the algarve, I know there's a lot of british, I don't know about Irish. Good luck

Try Coimbra, i know theres an irish bar there! and its quite cheap compared to the Algarve, also a bit quieter. Has a good nightlife. Rent/Hostels/Pensions can be found super cheap if your willing to lower standards... and the nearest beach, is half an hour away on the train. have fun :)

hi, There are some half dozen Irish bars here in Lisbon, mainly near the river zone. They are very nice places to work (have 2 friends already work there) and usually foreigners work there. I lived and worked in praia da Rocha and Albuferia for 4 years! Try father eds in Albuferia! he might be offering accommodation with a job! But a lot of places in Albuferia don't offer accommodation! Praia da rocha, places like croke park & dirty nellies have accommodation I'll be in Praia da rocha All summer this year too so i might see you there! If you need any help Ill be happy to help pm me!

I've lived and worked in Lagos in the Algarve over 2 summers. It was amazing! Very friendly people, albeit mostly tourists but the atmosphere was unbeatable. The beaches are lovely as well with lots of bars and pubs. Defo an Irish bar - the Irish Rover!
