depends, the later ones have an anti hacking system on them, the first versions u can hack using a hacking code but someone who is a computer geek has to do it otherwise the fone locks itself. And when u buy it in the states u have to lie about where u live cause they won't sell it to foreigners

I think they work anywhere in the world. you might have to pay extra thought.

The carrier for iPhones is AT&T. Yes, they offer Quad-band world phone - GSM/GPRS/EDGE. I suppose you should ask if the other internet features will work.

God, you are sooo boring and completely retarded! I bet you were sheltered by your "mommy" and you never knew your "daddy" until "TODAY". Ah,Ah,Ah.

Portugal is part of the European Union, so you, as an European citizen living in Portugal would have the same rights and duties as a Portuguese citizen.

Assuming you have a UK passport then you have an automatic right to both live and work in Portugal, it's one of the benefits of EC membership. You are automatically legal but I believe you have to register with the local police, just a formality. Opening a bank account is just as easy, just turn up at your chosen branch with your passport as ID and it can be done while you wait. Better would be to choose a bank that has branches in the UK and have them set up the account before you travel. That way it's available immediately on arrival. The biggest problem will be finding a job, to make it work will be difficult without a knowledge of the language and right now jobs are scarce in Portugal. Without the language you might find some work in the tourist spots but it will be seasonal rather than permanent. Ian M

I am from the UK and lived in Portugal for 4 years between 1999 and 2003. You do not need any documentation to work and live there, but when I opened my bank account I did need to supply my bank with a "Financas" identity number (this is similar to our National Insurance number). This can be applied for at the local Finance office (it is easy to obtain, but ask any portuguese person to help you if you cannot speak the language). One thing that Portuguese authorities are very strict on is bringing original copies of your documentation (and sometimes you have to have documentation translated and formally stamped, which can be done at a lawyers office, or the British Embassy in Lisbon). Portugal is a wonderful country and the people are amazing - so much so, I married one of them :-) Boa viagem e boa sorte!

Portugal, work in agriculture, EU citizenship

Portugal, work in agriculture, EU citizenship?
Hello! Is it possible to work in Portugal in the agricultural field with a bachelor's degree in "Producing of Field and Horticultural Crop Products"? Languages - Russian, Estonian, English and a little Portuguese. And if you have information, what about the salary and work conditions? Can I use English and try to learn more Portuguese while I'm there or should I learn it in advance? Thank you. I'm from Estonia

There's an employment problem but you can try to find a job and depending on the job you get you can make more or less money, I'm not into agriculture but work conditions are about the same as other European countries is just not as developed in terms of machinery
