Heart murmur as an adult

Heart murmur as an adult?
Today I went for a routine check at the doctor at work (here in portugal we have to have a routine check at the doctor at work). Anyways he was measuring my blood pressure and counted 68 beats in a minute which was not very normal. So he listened to my heart and says he thinks I may have a heart murmur. He said I should go and have a talk with my family doctor. When I was a child I had one and it went away. There was nothing serious about it. Should I go to the doctors anyway? I have no time :S Thanks!

Your doctor's wrong about your heart rate, 60-99 is considered normal. But for the murmur you should visit a doctor.
2 :
Your murmur is probably innocent, though if you have never seen a cardiologist it might be a good idea to go and get checked out to make sure the murmur is innocent just to be on the safe side. Good luck

Corporate corruption and tax avoidance fueled the problems.

How do you figure that it failed? looks pretty good to me.

Socialism is failing in most countries. The EU is a prime example of failed socialism LISBON, Feb 15 (Reuters) - A no-confidence motion against Portugal's minority Socialist government in parliament looked set to fail after the right-wing CDS-PP party said it would abstain in a vote next month on the proposal. The prospect of the no-confidence motion risked exacerbating Portugal's woes as investors sell off the country's onerous debt on fears it will be the next euro zone member to need an international bailout, after Greece and Ireland. The abstention by 21 CDS-PP deputies in the 230-seat parliament means that the ruling Socialists will have no problem defeating the motion, which is targeted against their austerity programme. CDS-PP bench leader Pedro Mota Soares told reporters on the party had decided to abstain because the Left Bloc, who proposed the motion, had never tried to get the support of other parties for an effective change of government. https://news.fidelity.com/news/news.jhtml?articleid=201102151058RTRSNEWSCOMBINED_LDE71E22Z_1&IMG=N&cat=default&ccsource=rss-default

Very simple answer. The Portuguese socialist system is based on government control of major industries like oil refineries, transportation and many other businesses. They also have a massive amount of government services. This all would be perfect if the Portuguese people produced enough and paid a fair share of taxes to balance the expenses of the socialist government. Unfortunately for the socialists the Portuguese people enjoy to much good food, great weather, and love their leisure time at the beach. Working hard is not necessary a priority for the Portuguese. Still a great place for a nice vacation: http://www.travelingportugal.com

Portugal is one of the poorest Nations in Western Europe, it's Social and welfare systems are far behind the rest of Western Europe, traditionally help for the poorest was left to the Catholic Church rather than the government. so far Socialism isn't failed in Portugal because there is so little of it about. Portugal's financial problems stem from a failure of it's economic (Capitalist policies), such as poor economic growth, a lack of any heavy industries or manufacturing, and the biggest problem of all, a massive drop in tourism since the Recession of 2008 (and tourism is Portugal's biggest money earner with nearly 40% of the work force employed by it) Spain is also having financial difficulties but again Socialism has nothing to do with it, like Portugal it's welfare systems are not particularly generous by 1st world standards. Spain's problems are also linked to the 2008 Global financial meltdown, until 2008 Spain's biggest industry was construction, Spain was Europe's No1 Tourist destination and since the mid-1990's Spain had been on a massive building spree, Hotels, Apartments, Holiday home, retirement homes, etc, when the American banks failed and dragged everyone else into the mess, banks stopped their loans to the contractors, which effectively stopping the building work, at the same time people stopped going to Spain on holiday and also stopped investing in holiday homes, leaving these same contractors with tens of thousands of unsold properties. the result for the Spanish building industry was devastating within 4 months 80% of the workers in the construction industry were without work, Spanish unemployment rose from 8% (2008) to 25% (2009) The challenge for you when writing this essay is how well you present Socialism within the bigger picture, (i.e how Capitalism and Socialism need each other in order to survive, by that i mean what happens when someone is too old to work, too sick to work, or there simply are not enough jobs for everyone, what system should replace socialism to help people like these? if you leave them without anything what will the impact be? how would capitalism survive when large chunks of the population have no money to spend, on food, on bills, on rent etc?) to simply say socialism doesn't work will be difficult for you to defend when presented with evidence of some of the benefits it has brought, for example prior to the US government bringing in SSI (1935), an average of 120,000 elderly Americans died every year though 'lack of funds' 40,000 alone died of starvation, the rest died of hypothermia, heat stroke (because they couldn't pay their energy bills) so to prove socialism doesn't work your need to explain why the deaths of 120,000 people every year is a better thing than the 'socialist' system in place now.

Socialism did not failed in Portugal, just because Portugal is not socialist. We had for the last 25 years in European Union a Capitalist rule, and that was the thing failing in Portugal CAPITALISM.
7 :
The name of the party might be Socialist Party but its real policies are, in fact, right wing to the core... So you can't really say "socialism" applied to Portugal because it never really existed here. For the last 35 years, Portugal has been ruled by successive governments by two major parties, the supposedly Socialist and the PSD, a liberal right wing party, with practically no difference between them...

Visa works. I'm not sure about Discover. Unfortunately, Visa charges a "foreign" rate on foreign card purchases, but American Express doesn't. AmEx works in most places, too. So if you have to change cards, get AmEx.
2 :
Discover might, but alot of places outside the US doesn't accept Discover. Stick with Visa or Mastercard.
3 :
Visa and Mastercard are both widely accepted here in Italy and throughout Europe. Discover has much more limited acceptance.
