spain or portugal and why?
if you had the chance to get out of Britain to start a new life abroad and the two country's of choice were portugal (algarve) or the south of spain, which one would you choose bearing in mind you need to get work there and rent a villa long term. Or would you consider one of the small islands off the coast of spain like Lanzarote? I'm also a bit lazy when it comes to learning spanish so i will need to find english speaking people there for work ETC - Thanks

i would love to say portugal, but spain is better i lived in the south for a while and it was awesome

well i'd never be in britain in the first place but i'd move to portugal not plasticy and commercialised like spain and nicer people and really nice towns and cities but you would have to learn portuguese

I did move from Britain a few years ago. I now live in Spain. I visit Portugal as it isn't too far away, but even though Portugal is a beautiful country and the people are wonderful, I still prefer living in Spain. I live in a rural community in the mountains of Andalucia. Spain is much cheaper place to live than it is in Portugal. I guess it's a preference really and up to the individual. If you intend moving to either country, do yourself a favour and learn the language. The locals will appreciate you trying to learn their language. Finding work over here right now will be difficult if not impossible and in Spain long lets for villas aren't common due to the laws out here.

Chile beat Portugal :( Wtf!! Zequinha.. is an idiot...?
I can't believe it. Portugal really didn't deserve to win this one, I was confident our squad was good enough but in reality, Gama, Coentrao and Pele were the good ones... the rest, need a lot of work! Zequinha.. talented but that boy is an actor and he doesn't know how to control himself. He got himself a RED CARD at the 90th minute!! What an idiot! So that's it.. Portugal's out. Really sad. Now I'm rooting for Spain. Did anyone else see this? Opinions? 2 red cards for Portugal... Zequinha and Mano and one for Chile.. Vidal. Why it that there are always reds in our matches? How sad... I guess the Portuguese-speaking countries are out. Who are you rooting for in the U20? Austria, USA, Nigeria, Chile, Argentina, Czech, Spain, Mexico? oh Im actually rooting between Mexico, Spain & Argentina.. Argentina because I've been following them this entire time and I seriously think they're good but everyone likes them, so maybe Mexico. They have true talent. lol Zequinha is a bad ass.. full of attitude. Scolari won't be calling him up any time soon.. even with his talent. He wasnt afraid of shunning Quaresma.

I don't think the ref had any chose but to book both the Portugal players, I'm not sure about Vidals but why risk getting a card for time wasting when you already have a card. That was classic what Zequinha did, I mean if you are gonna go out of the tournament you mind as well do something crazy like that. Lol I've never seen a player take the card out of a refs hand, I guess there is a first time for everything. Go usa!!!!!!

I'm rooting for Nigeria. I hope the take it all. They were cheated in last tournments final against Argentina. Argentina was given bogus penalty(s). Nigeria deserves it this time but if they don't make it USA will be my team

Yeah, I saw the match, though it became so depressing to see Portugal lose like that that I didn't watch the entire match. I wonder how the match would have changed if Bruno Gama was there. But yes, I agree, it's quite absurd to see so many red cards out within a few minutes' time. It somewhat reminded me of Portugal vs. the Netherlands during last year's World Cup - 16 yellow cards given, 4 red cards, most of them around the final minutes of the match. I was supporting Spain from the start, and I'm glad that they made it to the quarter-finals and survived Brazil this year. Now that you mention Portuguese-speaking countries, I just noticed that four of the quarter-final teams come from Spanish-speaking countries.

Job in Portugal?
I'm going to Portugal for the Summer and since I'l be there for a good 3 months I want something to do! Also will I need a work visa or something and how can I get it??

What food will make you go to the bathroom?
i am trying to lose weight and just found out recently that there are some foods that will make you go to the bathroom lol. i drink diet tea that makes you go to the bathroom, and just found out that spinach makes you go too. are there any more food that makes you go to the bathroom. going to portugal in august and trying to lose aout 30-40 pounds. also am gonna buy the sauna suit and work out, and eat lots of vegetables, and fruit.

Miso soup always works for me.

Eat foods with a lot of fiber. You're off to a good start eating a lot of veggies and fruit. Also get a lot of while grains and legumes (beans).

There are many foods that are natural diuretics, but that only means they make you pee more, and perhaps lose a little excess water weight, but they don't do anything for actual weight loss. Your tea is a poor example. Your body is just saying, "I've had enough fluids for now. Thanks."

You do know that all edible foods make you go to the bathroom, it's just down to what type of meal your eating. They all vary in nutritional values so losing weight means eating less 'crap', effectively. Working out at the gym and eating lots of vegetables and fruits sounds excellent. Just don't be like me and say your going to do something and then don't end up doing it! Gosh, i wish i wasn't lazy... Anyway...Good luck!
