I have a D+C visa with duration of stay of 356 days starting March 2010, Can i stay in Portugal more than 3 months after finishing my work in Italy? can i get a residence permit in Portugal on it? or is it a problem that it is issued by the Italian consulate?

D+C does that C means chengan? why don't you ask in the same place you got the visa.

Your Italian visa can't help you I think, but your Italian language will ;) It was easy to make papers in Portugal in 2009, even with exceeded visas, check this out, Portuguese Immigration service site: http://www.sef.pt/portal/V10/EN/aspx/page.aspx Good Luck!
