hi my girlfriend and i along with out baby are hoping to move to portugal next year january. (her family are from portugal / Lisbon) where we are hoping to move to. i just need some information on how to get a job beause i have a tour representative in mind but the money isnt very good and have to be away from home to much. we have accomodation sorted so thats ok. i just need some links or hope lol! thanks

first learn the language, is very important. I don't know what you can do so I can't answer the job part. you can talk to a travel agency in the US to get tourists and you be a touristic guide, there's so much to see in Lisbon that you wouldn't be far from home. Just an idea since I saw that been done by a British couple. Good Luck.

You are off to a good start as you have both family there for support and somewhere to stay. Don't expect great money, where we are the average monthly wage is รข‚¬600. For jobs, contact the main tour operators in Lisbon and ask on expat forums where you will get advice from those who have been in the same position. Good luck.
