In 2011 I am going to take a gap year. I have choosen these countries to visit and I am going to work and volunteer throughout the year. Are there any things I must see or do while away? Any specific places I should visit? Any ideas welcome as I am brainstorming ideas!

France - you must go to Le Mont St Michel in the Normand Region. In Belgium, I highly reommend going to Bruges. It's a gorgeous town with lots of history and great restaurants, canals, etc.
