I can't believe it. Portugal really didn't deserve to win this one, I was confident our squad was good enough but in reality, Gama, Coentrao and Pele were the good ones... the rest, need a lot of work! Zequinha.. talented but that boy is an actor and he doesn't know how to control himself. He got himself a RED CARD at the 90th minute!! What an idiot! So that's it.. Portugal's out. Really sad. I don't think the ref had any chose but to book both the Portugal players, I'm not sure about Vidals but why risk getting a card for time wasting when you already have a card. That was classic what Zequinha did, I mean if you are gonna go out of the tournament you mind as well do something crazy like that. Lol I've never seen a player take the card out of a refs hand, I guess there is a first time for everything. Go usa!!!!!!

I'm rooting for Nigeria. I hope the take it all. They were cheated in last tournments final against Argentina. Argentina was given bogus penalty(s). Nigeria deserves it this time but if they don't make it USA will be my team

Yeah, I saw the match, though it became so depressing to see Portugal lose like that that I didn't watch the entire match. I wonder how the match would have changed if Bruno Gama was there. But yes, I agree, it's quite absurd to see so many red cards out within a few minutes' time. It somewhat reminded me of Portugal vs. the Netherlands during last year's World Cup - 16 yellow cards given, 4 red cards, most of them around the final minutes of the match. I was supporting Spain from the start, and I'm glad that they made it to the quarter-finals and survived Brazil this year. Now that you mention Portuguese-speaking countries, I just noticed that four of the quarter-final teams come from Spanish-speaking countries.

Chile have good talent...i never seen Portugal in the cup actually. never new they wereactully in it lol. the team we dont expect to bring up talent......are bringing up talent. remember Holland vs Portugal in world cup 2006.with all the red cards? that was bloody out of ordor with both teams. maybe Portugal need to sort something out. go Nigeria
