And i'm looking for a big change and Dubai sounds promising. i don't have a degree only some administrative experience and willingness to learn and improve. i'd like to know what type of job opportunities are out there and how difficult would it be to get a job without major qualifications and if it would be difficult form me to get a work visa?

Once you find a job the visa process should be easy... i'm actually moving there... and it just takes a while to get all the papers ready. Try the job websites listed below,

Maria, without beating around bushes, your chances are almost zero. Any job you would maybe be qualitied for will be giving to Philippians or Indians even being over qualified but being much cheaper than you to hire. In the UAE you will be paid regarding your degrees/diplomas and nationality. There are to many well educated people from the Philippines and India occupying jobs in administration for around a third what you would expect and need to make a living in Dubai .Most women working in position which would fit your profile are either hired being on a father's or husband's visa or living in shared rooms with no privacy. And even if you would agree to live like this, nobody would rent a "bedspace" to an European lady (only same nationality) There is one (also when a small one) opportunity to get to the UAE. Look for employment with a british company which is operating in the UAE as well and try to get transferred. To make a long story short, without any degree or special experience, you will not be able to land any administrative job in the UAE. Do you have a high school diploma? Because this is the minimum to be an employee in the UAE. Btw: our Philippina receptionist (salary AED 6K) studied Physiology to end up working as a receptionist in the UAE.

You gotta be really qualified. The more credit you have, the better.

Please ignore the myth that you need to be qualified to get a job in the UAE. This does not apply to Europeans. Carpenters in the west become architects here. Plumbers design waterfront properties and pool-watchers (lifeguards) become IT managers. Your chances of getting a job here is directly proportional to the amount of cleavage you are willing to show and inversely proportional to your qualifications.
